I found unacceptable that 95% of the main Portuguese repertoire was still trapped in manuscripts, so I decided to do something about it.
Composing for Musical Theatre
Recently I have began composing for Musical Theatre.
In December of 2019 I had the premier of G.R.I.N.C.H. and also The Nutcracker.
Musical imagery
My passion for the fusion of media and music led me to this project with the purpose of attracting new audiences to the concert hall in a new innovative way for community engagement.
There is also a section of portraits from musicians I have met in the past.
The Michael Kamen Guitar concerto
I have always been a big fan of using crossover music to promote the the classical music concerts and attract new audiences. It’s a great way to invite people to a genre and often looks to foreign to them.
Recently I found this concerto for electric guitar and orchestra, and I was very surprised with what I found.
